2007 Cameron Releases

Cameron Releases

Last Friday, I had a chance to try through the new Cameron releases.  All four of these wines are an example of the greatness of the 2007 vintage.  If it is the wild side of the Clos Electrique Rouge, the red balanced fruit of Abbey Ridge Pinot Noir, the fruitiness of the Abbey Ridge Chardonnay, or the perfect acidity of the Clos Electrique Blanc the wines are going to give you great pleasure now or 5-10 years from now.  These are the wines  Cameron strives to make and the 2007 vintage gave them the resources to make it happen.

Champagne and Sparkling Wine Tasting $18

November 13, 2009
5:00 pmto8:00 pm

Sparkle, Sparkle, Sparkle (Tasting)

If I had to choose one style of wine to drink the rest of my life, it might be Champagne.  I love sitting down with a beautiful, crisp, bright acidity sparkling wine with a double or triple cream cheese.  The combination of the two really makes me feel content and happy.  It is the perfect combination for an evening in front of a fire by yourself, a first date, or your appetizer for your next dinner party.  Either way, this Friday I will be pouring a selection of Sparkling wines (Champagne included) that are truly lovely.  You can decide how you serve them.

2004 Brunello di Montalcino Tasting

November 6, 2009
5:00 pmto8:00 pm

We continue this week with another top notch tasting, focusing on 2004 Brunello di Montalcino.  The 2004 vintage in Tuscany has received high praise since harvest and continues to do so as the wines are released.  Brunello is made from the Sangiovese grape and is always 100% varietal.  Brunello di Montalcino is the most sought after type of wine from this region and one of the most collected from Italy.  This Friday we will be pouring 5 different Brunellos, with some being offered in the half bottle size.  This is a great opportunity to try many great wines that would cost almost $250 to buy and you can walk away with the ones you really enjoy.
